From the Mountain Democrat, Placerville, California.  Friday, April 20, 1928. Page 4

A wedding of interest to the many friends of the bride in this country, took place in San Francisco at 3 o’clock in the evening of Easter Sunday, when Miss Lillian Beatrice Cordano became the bride of Stephen Louis Mariani.  The ceremony took place in St. Peter’s Church, in the presence of relatives and friends, Rev. Father Tessia officiating.  The bride was beautiful in white taffeta with tulle veil caught with orange blossoms.  She carried lilies of the valley and orchids.  She was given in marriage by her father, John A. Cordano.  Miss Nort Downey acted as bridesmaid, and Eugene Mariani as best man.  The flower girl was the little niece of the groom.  Ushers were R. Beecher and V. Mariani.
After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served in the rose room of the Clift Hotel, where the couple received the congratulations of their friends.  The next day the happy couple departed for Europe, where they expect to enjoy a six month’s honeymoon.  They were accompanied on the trip by the groom’s mother and sister, and by the Rev. Father Tessia.
The bride is a splendid young lady.  She is a niece of Mrs. Florinda Francis of Georgetown.  Her cousins, Mrs. Beatrice Luce, Misses Florence Luce and Hazel Francis attended the wedding.
The groom is a prosperous young business man of San Francisco.  His father, Stephen Mariani, came to Georgetown in 1869, and lived here for six years.
Mr. and Mrs. Mariani have the best wishes of their many friends for a happy future.
